Synopsis:

The Queen (Myung Se Bin) is in her early 30s but still unmarried. Because of this, in a condition where there cannot be a reduction in the number of successors to the throne, the present prince (the 1st successor) suddenly leaves the world and leaves a vacancy in the line of successors. So they go out to find the secret prince and finally find Lee hoo (played by Se7en), who has been living outside the palace.

Lee hoo is the son of a prince and his mother who died early, had departed with his father and left the palace, hiding the fact that she was already pregnant. He does not know that he possesses royal blood and has lived, working as a delivery boy at a chinese restaurant. Although usually, he has wang ja byung (prince disease), he had never dreamt of entering the palace and receiving royal lessons.

Lee hoo, the unbelievable no. 1 successor to the throne and the perfect Lee Joon (played by Kang Doo) will bring tension to the drama as they fight over the position. After Lee Hoo enters the palace, an important place will be the royal academy. It is a place for members of the royal family as well as descendents of wealthy families. The drama will also be about the romance between the characters.

    Actually, this is not related to Goong/Princess Hours in anyway. They were created by different production companies and they are in no way linked.

    BUT, I'm sort of willing to give this drama a try. Even though I have a feeling it won't be as good as the original Goong.

    Okay, I've removed my personal note on Goong S being the 2nd part to Goong. In actual fact, I believe most of you would know better about this drama than I do hehe...

    It's not awful, I guess you can say it's watchable. It's not as good as GOONG 1. The plot, production setting, dancing bears, and costumes are reminiscent of Goong 1. It's not very original. Sorry to offend SE7EN fans, he's not very impressive. I watched the first, second and third episodes and I got really bored. The background music isn't that great either. It was like listening to poorly duplicated/generic version of Goong 1 soundtrack.

    What's more depressing is that GOONG 2 is not using original cast.

    I actually think this is PRETTY DARN GOOD. At first I was hesistant to watch this one, since I enjoyed the first Goong so much, but after watching the first 3 Eps., I'm totally hooked. I'm mean, it's got a similar theme to Goong 1, but the characters are new, fresh, and funny. I mean, if you're gonna watch this and compare it to Goong 1 obviously you're gonna be disappointed cause it's COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. But if you just looking for a new, funny drama (that happens to have sexy Se7en in it), this one isn't a bad choice. ;)

    How come when I try to join the parts with HJSPLIT, I can't see the episode? BTW, is the icon suppose to be a Winamp icon coz thats how mine looks like.

    Are you having difficulties with episodes 3 and 4?

    First off. Those episodes are in 3 zipped files. Did you unzip all the pieces of the split video file before trying to use HJSplit?

    The link for part 1 and part 2 have three 100MB split files each and the link for part 3 has pieces 7, 8 and the subtitle file.

    And no the icon should not look like the winamp one. If you got the .001 file extension to open with HJSplit it should look like a black checkmark on a white background (at least that's what it looks like on my computer).

    To be able to help you more. I need to know exactly what you did. With as much details as possible.

    Thanks for your advice but what I was having trouble with was episode 1.
    I downloaded it but the first part came out with a Winamp icon but the second part had an unknown file icon although both parts had .001 and .002 on the end. I tried downloading it again but to no avail. What should I do?

    Cindy,

    For some reason the .001 file extension has been linked to open with winamp. This is an easy fix, but it should not affect HJSplit functionality and you can choose to leave it as is.

    If you really want to fix the open with property.
    1. Right click on the .001 file.
    2. Choose 'Open With'; if HJSplit is on the list select that; if not choose 'Select Program'.
    3. Since HJSplit is not an installed program, you need to 'Browse' for it.
    4. Look for where you put HJSplit.exe and click 'Open'.
    5. Check the 'Always use the selected program' box and click 'OK'.

    This will open HJSplit and link it so that whenever you left click a .001 file, HJSplit will start. It wont join the file on its own. You still need to go through the process manually. Which is why linking the file extension is not really necessary. Oh this will only link .001 files. The rest other parts of the split will not be recognized.

    To join the files.
    1. Select 'Join'.
    2. Select 'Input File' find the folder you put the split video files (.001, .002 and so on when necessary). Only the .001 file should be seen.
    3. Select it and click 'Open'.
    4. Click 'Start' and you'll see a working % bar.

    Once you see the 'Joining Completed' message, close all three menus. Use windows explorer, my computer or whatever you use to open the folder with the original downloaded files. You should now the joined video file. For episode 1 it will look like this 'Goong S Ep1- hardsub.avi'. You can now delete the original split files (Goong S Ep1- hardsub.avi.001 and Goong S Ep1- hardsub.avi.002).

    I downloaded and tested the links. The files are good. If you follow the steps, everything should work.

    I'm trying to figure out what the problem is. Need some more details.

    1. Are you having problems joining the split files?

    2. Is the combined video file (after using HJSplit) not working?

    3. Did you verify that you have the complete file downloaded? Episode 1 part 1 should be about 211 MB and part 2 should be about 121.52 MB.

    4. Do you have both files in the same folder?

    5. What media program are you trying to view the movie with? Does it have the codec (compression decompression) installed. Most new .avi files use either DivX or Xvid.

    Since you have a winamp icon, you have winamp installed. I know winamp will try to tie itself into the properties of media files to use itself to play them occasionally. Winamp with the correct plugin can play video files. Not sure if it has all the codecs, since I haven't used it in years.

    I'm not too huge a fan of putting up my email anywhere accessible online. If you leave your email I'll contact you.

    If you are having problems with HJSplit, you could try HJ-Join instead. Download the program, put it in the same folder with all the split video files. Left click on HJ-join and it will find all split files and join them within the folder.

    Hi, I;m having trouble joining the files. When I play the joined files, the screen is green, theres sound but the screen is GREEN??? is there a problem with my Hjsplit?

    Since you're getting sound but no video, I would guess that you have a problem with the video codec. I think it's using xvid codecs. Just do a google search for the current xvid codecs and install.

    Hi! I'm looking for a Goong S song that is not featured on the soundtrack. Two actually - one that is sung by a older female voice when the two leads finally get together, and another instrumental song (much like Ice Pond from Goong) that plays in episode 19 a few times, for example, when Sae-ryung yells at Hoo for making her weak or when Joon reminisces with the evil girl about 'simpler times'. If you find those songs could you post them up? Thanks!!

    I'm having problems joining episode 9 part 3, which seems to be uploaded as an .rar file. When I download it, the file isn't zipped and does not split into 007, 008, and the .srt file that it has generally been doing. What am I doing wrong? The other files have been playing fine for me so far. Thank you.

    Hi Mimi,

    Use WinRar to extract Part 3. Then you will find .007, .008 and the .srt file. Put these all together with the rest of your .001 to .006 files in ONE folder and join with HJSPLIT.

    Ep 7 part 2 seems fine now. They may have just been doing maintenance on the server when you tried to access it.

    To CCC and team,

    My thanks to you coming all the way from the Philippines! I've downloaded quite some drams from your site and I enjoy them all the time.

    Goong S is also good, how the plots were made, how the characters bring themselves... they all look natural acting on the drama. And the best thing I think here is.... you wouldn't really know who gets who... the love triangle (or is it square?) really is unpredictable, you definitely can't wait to watch the next episodes...

    im having trouble seeing the subtitle of ep 12. i did everything the way i should... download, extract then join files. the subtitle doesnt show up but the video is good... the srt. file is there but i dont think its loading to the video... please help... did i miss anything that i should be doing?!

    I've been to the FAQ already.
    I'm having trouble with the download of Ep. 9. The whole thing is playable, but the picture goes bad in a few spots. I think it's "archiving" -- like boxy residue from movement or image change?
    It's around 15:15, 15:40 and 18:40 (If I remember right -- I checked but then took too long getting here) -- Joon's mom talks to Sae Ryung in a cafe, and Joon talking to his mom.
    I downloaded and connected all parts two separate times, in separate locations, but they both had problems in the same places. It IS still watchable, and the subtitles are readable, but I thought you should know there may be something wrong with that file. :(
